In the last few years, I’ve spent a lot of time in rural Ontario. My family built a home in Wasaga Beach where we enjoy the four season’s lifestyle. And I’ve been meeting with people and exploring towns from Walkerton to Collingwood to Stayner as we seek out beautiful communities to build new homes.

For some years now, we’ve seen that people are looking to get away (though not too far) from the crowded, noisy sprawl and enjoy a better way of living in smaller Ontario communities. But exploring this opportunity perfectly aligned with my own desire to get back to my roots in the countryside.

I grew up on a farm in India near a town a little bit like those you find in rural Canada – a place where you learned to be a straight shooter and to treat people with honesty, respect, and transparency. I like to think I carried those qualities into my career in Canada – initially in the banking industry as an investment specialist, senior business advisor, and commercial lender; later, when I became my own boss as an independent mortgage broker; and now, building new homes and neighbourhoods for people who are looking for something more.

Do unto others as you would like to be done unto you. I truly believe this maxim, and I try to instill in our team the idea that we should build homes as if our own families will be living in them.

“Mamta” means “motherly love”, and Mamta is a family business. I began working with my brother in a general construction business back in 2001. (He was the hands-on guy; I took care of the business and financial stuff. ) And I may soon be welcoming my eldest to the company. We plan to be here for a long time.
